Captain Hope’s Kids Is Beneficiary of Happy Hour Fundraiser and Mixer at Addison’s BlackFinn, August 18, 2011

(DALLAS, TX) – 3 August 2011 – Dallas non-profit charity, Captain Hope’s Kids is the designated beneficiary of a happy hour business mixer and fundraiser to be held at BlackFinn restaurant in Addison on Thursday, August 18, 2011. The event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A $10.00 donation at the door will entitle attendees to food and drink specials, including $3.00 domestic beers, house wines and well drinks. Complimentary gourmet pizza will be served between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m.

The Texas Rangers Wives have teamed up with Brookshire Grocery Company and McCormick Seasoning and Spices to produce the second edition of a Texas Rangers Family Cookbook, "Cook Like A Pro." The 2009 Cook Like A Pro Wives Cookbook is on sale for only $25, which includes tax, shipping, & handling.

Proceeds will benefit Captain Hope's Kids and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.

Captain Hope’s Kids celebrated Skin Cancer Awareness Month with Verso

Verso is a unique clothing store in Uptown Dallas Coffering selectively chosen merchandise that benefits various causes. On Thursday, May 28, 2009, Verso sold baby clothing benefiting Melanoma awareness, and matched each baby item purchased. Participants who donated used clothing or made a monetary donation for “Dollars for Diapers” received 20% off of purchases for the evening.
